Diesel may fit when
- Emergency start and load acceptance are primary requirements.
- Fuel can be stored on site for defined autonomy.
- Annual running hours are limited or grid outages are unpredictable.
- Local diesel service and parts are stronger.
Select for the Actual Duty
Diesel often suits fast-start standby power; gas can be attractive for long operating hours when a stable, suitable fuel supply exists. The project economics depend on far more than fuel price.
Include fuel treatment and storage, electrical integration, heat recovery, maintenance intervals, derating, emissions equipment, expected load factor, downtime risk and local service—not only purchase price.
